FloMo Model Makiwara
The FloMo is bombproof! Built stronger than needed, but the overkill in materials is
a foundation for a lifetime of beatings. Make it an heirloom and it will cover generations of beatings.
The Post; Made with 12 hardwood laminations epoxied with glass cloth webbing. Almost two inches
thick at its base and one inch at the top. Stands 52 inches tall, arched to increase range of deflection,
reduce stress concentration, and respond like a leaf-spring. Responds well to all snapping strikes and
thrusting-strike-techniques.
The Pad; Four by nine inches, leather-covered, one inch thick high-density polyurethane foam. It feels
like striking the upper arm--skin over muscle covering bone.
The Base; Has a small 8 x 14 inch footprint. Made of 1/4 inch thick steel. Black powder coated finish.
All stainless steel mounting hardware included. Mounts to both wooden and concrete floors.
